Originally established by Robert Yates in 1986 as a contracting business, RGS Tree Services now specialises in the provision of arboricultural consultancy services to a diverse client base, and has done so since 2001.

Our arboricultural consultancy and tree surveyors cover the whole of England and Wales as well as the Scottish borders, from two offices;  Northampton, and Alnwick in Northumberland.

• Tree surveys [compliant with B.S. 5837 : 2005] for development sites of all sizes
• Arboricultural Implications Assessments & Method Statements
• Hazard tree surveys to fulfil statutory ‘Duty of Care’ obligations for private estates, schools & colleges, hospitals, golf courses and local authority sites
• Tree condition surveys, for private estates, arboretums and historic sites
• Tree reports for home buyers; for mortgage or insurance purposes
• Tree reports for home owners; for health & safety, insurance or re-mortgage purposes
• Specialist decay detection & mapping surveys [including Sonic Tomography] of trees with structural defects or suspected internal decay
